Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Lead Full Stack Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications aligned to the Golden Path engineering stack. This role requires strong technical depth across modern frontend engineering, backend services, distributed systems, AWS/GCP cloud platforms, DevOps, observability, automated testing, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
The ideal candidate will lead by example, mentor engineers, influence architecture decisions, and own end-to-end delivery of business-critical solutions while ensuring high standards for scalability, reliability, security, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade full-stack applications across frontend, backend, cloud, and data layers.
- Build scalable, reusable frontend experiences (ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, hooks) and robust backend APIs/microservices (Go, Java, Python, Node.js), integrated via REST, gRPC, Thrift, and event-driven patterns.
- Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS with containerized platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.
- Own features end to end — from design through deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews; drive engineering excellence in testing, security, observability, and performance.
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, API, Cypress-based UI regression) and troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and collaborate closely with product managers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, with 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript (hooks, functional components), building scalable, high-performance UIs.
- Strong backend development in Go, Java, Python, or Node.js — APIs, microservices, and distributed systems (REST, gRPC, Thrift; Koa).
- Solid grounding in system design, distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, RDS, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
- Strong AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, and similar), plus Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD (CircleCI).
- Experience with comprehensive testing (unit, integration, API, UI — Jest/Cypress) and observability/monitoring (Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals (DNS, authentication, encryption, secure API design).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools (Gemini, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Proven ability to independently own and deliver complex technical initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with the ability to break down complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across distributed engineering, product, and architecture teams.
- Ability to balance engineering excellence with business priorities, delivery commitments, and customer outcomes.
- Strong mentoring mindset with the ability to guide engineers, raise technical standards, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Lead technical initiatives by influencing architecture decisions, defining implementation approaches, and guiding teams through delivery execution.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, communicate risks, and align delivery with business outcomes.
- Provide technical mentorship, design guidance, and constructive code review feedback to strengthen team capability and engineering quality.
- Operate effectively in distributed Agile teams with strong ownership of sprint commitments, release quality, and production readiness.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka, AWS EventBridge, SQS, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on exposure to workflow orchestration and data processing platforms such as Databricks, Airflow, Temporal, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or other high-scale search, analytics, indexing, and data retrieval platforms.
- Experience contributing to enterprise design systems, shared UI component libraries, or large-scale frontend codebases.
- Familiarity with monorepo development environments and build systems such as Bazel.
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar automation tools.
- Exposure to high-scale SaaS, marketplace, PropTech, real estate technology, or customer-facing digital product platforms.
- Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
