Accountabilities:

The Java/Spring Boot Developer will be responsible for developing backend applications, designing efficient services, and ensuring the reliability and performance of software solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, following best development practices, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support application functionality and integrations.
• Build and optimize microservices-based solutions following modern architecture principles.
• Work with relational databases to design, query, and manage application data effectively.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with engineering standards.
• Perform unit testing and contribute to improving application quality and reliability.
• Use version control and build tools to manage development workflows efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver software solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas to improve development processes.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a backend-focused software engineer with strong experience in Java development and modern backend frameworks. Strong analytical skills, technical problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.

• Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with Java versions 8, 11, or 17.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices development.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience writing unit tests using JUnit.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within technical teams.
