Accountabilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software and product challenges, contributing to technical and business decisions.

• Participate in Agile methodologies and ceremonies, helping continuously improve team processes and delivery practices.

• Own the software development lifecycle, including technical definition, development, testing, deployment, production support, and maintenance.

• Design, implement, and evolve scalable, reliable software architectures and appropriate design patterns.

• Contribute to code and design reviews, reinforcing engineering standards, maintainability, testing, and delivery quality.

• Troubleshoot incidents and production issues, investigate root causes, document post-mortems, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

• Improve software development practices and help establish technical foundations for addressing new and increasingly complex challenges.

• Work across complex engineering scenarios involving scale, resilience, fault tolerance, observability, and performance.

• Mentor software engineers by providing technical guidance, feedback, and support.

• Develop and maintain high-quality services and APIs while continuously improving reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience with Agile development practices, including Scrum or Kanban.

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.

• Solid understanding of database design, evolution, and data-related software engineering principles.

• Experience designing and evolving software architecture from the ground up.

• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of software monitoring, observability, performance tracking, and production diagnostics.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control, automated testing, deployment automation, code reviews, and technical documentation.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, structured thinking, and a continuous-learning mindset.

• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining autonomy and ownership of technical initiatives.

• Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English, including the ability to communicate through technical documentation, tools, written materials, and collaboration with international colleagues or partners.

• Experience mentoring software engineers is a plus.

• Experience developing scalable client-server or mobile applications is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is desirable.

• Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices, containers, and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes is advantageous.

• Understanding of scalability testing and performance tuning is desirable.

• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including algorithm optimization and distributed systems, is a plus.
