Were looking for a Lead Optimizely Solutions Architect to join our growing Optimizely practice in Canada. In this role, youll lead the design and delivery of enterprise digital experience platforms, guide multidisciplinary teams, and act as a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex digital transformation initiatives.
This is a highly strategic role that combines architecture, consulting, technical leadership, AI innovation and people management. Youll help shape client roadmaps, support business development efforts, mentor engineers and architects, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with business goals.

What youll do
Architecture & Delivery
- Design enterprise-grade Optimizely solutions that align business objectives, technical requirements and industry best practices.
- Define scalable architectures across content management, integrations, personalization, analytics and digital experience platforms.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects and guide teams through complex implementation challenges.
- Produce architecture documentation, technical specifications and executive-ready presentations.
- Lead technical discovery efforts, feasibility assessments and risk identification.
- Support engineering teams with proof-of-concepts, complex implementations and critical technical decisions.
- Establish and promote best practices around content modeling, headless delivery, security, performance and maintainability.
- Design integrations across CRM, commerce, CDP, PIM, DAM, analytics and identity ecosystems.
- Define data collection, event tracking and analytics strategies that drive personalization, experimentation and business insights.
AI Solutions & Innovation
- Design and deliver AI-enabled experiences and workflows leveraging Optimizely Opal, LLM services and emerging AI technologies.
- Define governance frameworks and guardrails for AI adoption, including privacy, compliance, content quality and human oversight.
- Champion AI-assisted software delivery practices, including code generation, testing automation and developer productivity tools.
- Help clients identify practical AI use cases that create measurable business value across content, marketing and experimentation workflows.
Client Advisory & Consulting
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to enterprise clients.
- Define technology roadmaps and provide recommendations for platform evolution and modernization.
- Advise on broader MarTech and enterprise ecosystems, ensuring Optimizely integrates effectively with existing platforms and services.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Delivery Leads and Creative teams to maximize business impact.
- Communicate architecture decisions and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Practice Growth & Leadership
- Stay current with the Optimizely product ecosystem, including CMS, Graph, Experimentation, CMP, Commerce and Opal.
- Contribute to business development activities, solution shaping, client workshops and proposal development.
- Lead top-down and bottom-up estimation exercises for new opportunities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to Valtechs offerings, accelerators and delivery standards.
- Mentor architects and developers while helping define the future direction of the practice.
- Manage a small team of direct reports, supporting performance, career growth and professional development.
What you bring
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise web development, including at least 5 years in a Solution Architect, Technical Architect or similar leadership role.
- Deep expertise with Optimizely CMS (CMS 12 and/or SaaS CMS), including multiple enterprise implementations delivered as the lead architect.
- Strong .NET background, including C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC and Optimizely APIs.
- Experience delivering headless and hybrid architectures using Optimizely Graph and/or Content Delivery API.
- Front-end integration experience with React, Next.js or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of content modeling, personalization, multisite and multilingual implementations.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms including CRM, commerce, CDP, PIM, DAM, search and identity providers.
- Experience designing analytics and data solutions involving platforms such as Optimizely Data Platform, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Proven experience delivering AI-enabled capabilities in production environments, including LLM integrations, agents and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
- Experience with Optimizely DXP, Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
- Experience supporting estimation, solution shaping and pre-sales activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing engineering or architecture teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with Optimizely Commerce, CMP, Web Experimentation, Feature Experimentation or Opal.
- Experience with composable architectures and MACH-inspired ecosystems.
- Exposure to additional headless CMS platforms such as Contentful or Contentstack.
- Experience with agent frameworks, vector databases or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Optimizely certifications across CMS, SaaS CMS, Commerce, Experimentation or AI products.
- Cloud architecture certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or TOGAF.
- AI-related certifications including Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Machine Learning Engineer, Claude Architect certifications, or Google Generative AI credentials.
The benefits
This is a full-time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is 110.000 - 160,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and location.
