Intermediate Full-Stack Software Developer (SaaS Healthcare)

Location: Montreal, QUEBEC, ca

Company Description

MEDFAR Clinical Solutions was founded in 2010 by two aeronautical engineers who realized that the healthcare system was not exploiting the full potential of technology. Supported by a large community of medical experts and focused on clinical success and patient safety, MEDFAR was the first company to certify a cloud-based Electronic Medical Record in Canada: MYLE (Make Your Life Easy).

Committed to promoting excellence and effectiveness in healthcare worldwide, MEDFAR differentiates itself by offering a unique healthcare management solution for clinics, which replaces inefficient processes with a faster and safer technological alternative.

Job Description

As a Full Stack Developer, youll be part of a product-aligned team focused on building and evolving key features that support real-world healthcare workflows. These teams work closely with Product and Design to deliver solutions that directly impact our users — healthcare professionals and their patients.

Youll contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of new functionalities that support the continuous evolution of our platform. From modernizing existing components to introducing innovative features, your work will help push healthcare technology forward. You’ll be surrounded by teammates who value collaboration, code quality, and continuous learning and who are always willing to support your growth.

What You’ll Do

As a Full Stack Developer, youll contribute to the development of reliable, secure, and scalable web applications. You’ll work across the stack, collaborate closely with your teammates, and continue growing your impact as a developer. Specifically, you will:

  • Build Meaningful Features: Contribute to the design and development of front-end and back-end functionality that delivers value to our users and supports business goals

  • Make Thoughtful Technical Choices: Participate in evaluating tools, frameworks, and design approaches that balance technical needs with long-term maintainability

  • Write Quality Code: Develop clean, testable, and well-documented code, and engage in code reviews to improve your work and support team standards

  • Contribute to Better Processes: Share ideas and feedback to help improve how we build, test, and deliver software

  • Collaborate and Learn: Work closely with senior developers to gain technical insights, ask great questions, and develop your skills through mentorship and collaboration

  • Own Your Work: Take responsibility for your tasks, follow through on commitments, and proactively seek help when needed to keep projects moving forward

Qualifications

  • A college or university degree in software development, computer science, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in building and deploying software systems, ideally with exposure to cloud environments (experience with Azure is a plus)

  • Familiarity with software architecture concepts and hands-on experience implementing scalable solutions

  • Experience with test automation (unit, integration, front-end), CI/CD workflows, and DevOps practices

  • Front-end development experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue

  • Solid understanding of SQL Server, SQL programming, and performance tuning

  • Experience with .NET development and C# programming

  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Awareness of secure coding practices and application-level security fundamentals

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Fluency in English, French is a plus.

Working conditions:

  • Contract: Permanent, full-time (40h/week)

  • Working mode: Hybrid or remote

    • Occasional in-office presence may be required during the year (for events or team meetings, for example).

    • Candidates must reside in the province of Quebec.

Additional Information

  • Remote work and flexibility (supporting work-life balance)

  • RRSP contribution

  • Healthcare insurance from day one

  • Paid time off: 3 weeks + 1 additional week between Christmas and New Year

  • An onboarding program to help you get familiar with our environment and the digital healthcare field

  • All IT equipment is provided, with additional gear if needed

  • Internal growth opportunities (promotions, internal mobility)

  • Support from a wellness and social committee, with initiatives to foster team cohesion, mental health, and employee well-being

  • A company culture focused on transparency, collaboration, and innovation

  • Join a dynamic and innovative environment where your work has a real and wide-reaching impact, helping to modernize healthcare in Canada and internationally

With offices around the world, fluency in both French and English is a must at MEDFAR. Because of the need to communicate with colleagues and/or customers in other provinces or countries, bilingualism enables us to communicate in both languages while promoting the use of French.

At MEDFAR, we value diversity, equity and inclusion within our team. We are committed to providing a work environment where every individual feels respected and supported, regardless of their background, identity or abilities. As part of our commitment to a fair and inclusive recruitment process, we offer accommodation to candidates who request it.
