The Job

As a Full-Stack Developer, your main goal is to build and scale a production Django/React monolith using AI as a core part of how you work. Youll own features end-to-end — from a Postgres data model to a deployed React interface on AWS — while keeping infrastructure costs, test coverage, and release safety front of mind. The foundation is solid engineering: strong programming fundamentals, architecture intuition, and comfort working inside a regulated, data-sensitive platform.

What Youll Do

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across a Django monolith, Postgres, and a React front end
• Build backend services and APIs in Python, and front-end functionality in React/TypeScript, for both web and mobile use cases
• Optimize query strategies, caching, and state management to improve performance and control infrastructure costs as the platform scales
• Write and expand automated test coverage (unit and end-to-end) as a standing priority, not an afterthought, to support safer, more frequent releases
• Design and maintain integrations with external platforms and third-party APIs
• Implement data models and workflows that respect the platforms regulatory requirements: PII encryption, background checks that cannot be reused across applications, and consent timestamps
• Collaborate daily with engineering teams in India and the U.S., writing clear async updates and documentation that hold up across time zones
• Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude) as a core part of your daily workflow, and review, refactor, and maintain clean codebases — both yours and AI-generated
• Work directly with product, leadership, and users to translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions

What Youll Bring to the Team

• 4+ years of experience building production-grade applications across the full stack
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals and hands-on experience with React. You understand component architecture, state, and rendering — not just the frameworks API.
• Solid experience with Python for backend services and APIs; experience with Django specifically is a strong plus
• Working knowledge of relational data modeling (SQL/Postgres) and comfort designing schemas for complex, high-volume operational data
• Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud environment
• Real, daily experience using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, or similar) in production work
• Testing mindset: experience writing unit and end-to-end tests, and thinking about coverage as part of shipping safely
• Experience with caching, query optimization, and other performance/cost-control techniques
 • Comfort working with regulated or sensitive data (PII handling, compliance-driven data models) is a strong plus
• Good written and spoken English for daily communication
