Team: IT
Location: Brazil
Commitment: Full-time
Workplace Type: remote
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Desenvolvedora FrontEnd Sênior based in Brazil.
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to serve as a technical reference for internal administrative interfaces, building reliable, accessible, and intuitive experiences for operational teams. In this role, you will lead frontend architecture and establish reusable components, design standards, and engineering practices across multiple teams. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and domain teams to translate complex business requirements into effective user interfaces. Working primarily with React and TypeScript, you will also have opportunities to contribute to Node.js services when needed. You will help improve application performance, code quality, observability, and automated testing while using AI-assisted development tools responsibly. This opportunity offers a collaborative, remote-first environment where technical ownership, pragmatic problem-solving, and continuous improvement are central to success.
Accountabilities
-
Architect, build, and evolve frontend applications using React and TypeScript, including component structures, state management, routing, performance optimization, and accessibility.
-
Develop and maintain reusable UI components and frontend standards in collaboration with Product Design to ensure consistency across administrative interfaces.
-
Review frontend implementations delivered by domain teams, identifying technical risks and recommending improvements in architecture, component design, and performance.
-
Collaborate with the engineering team to determine ownership and responsibility for incoming interface requirements.
-
Define and maintain API contracts with backend engineers and contribute to Node.js and TypeScript development when required.
-
Build and improve automated frontend validation processes by combining CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and AI-assisted validation tools.
-
Monitor frontend observability, including production errors, perceived performance, and Core Web Vitals, and take ownership of resolving interface-related incidents.
-
Ensure comprehensive automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end scenarios while maintaining security and privacy standards in regulated environments.
-
Write and present frontend RFCs that clearly explain alternative approaches, technical trade-offs, and architectural decisions.
-
Plan incremental releases and use feature flags where appropriate to reduce delivery risks and prevent regressions.
-
Proactively identify technical debt, simplify complex interfaces, and improve the maintainability of existing applications.
-
Develop a strong understanding of business processes and operational workflows to design interfaces that reduce effort and minimize user errors.
-
Create clear technical documentation covering component standards, architectural decisions, and contribution guidelines for other teams.
-
Mentor mid-level and junior engineers when applicable and contribute to recruitment activities, promoting technical excellence and a collaborative engineering culture.
-
Track and improve key success metrics, including production error rates, incident resolution times, page responsiveness, delivery velocity, functional stability, UI consistency, and the quality of technical documentation and recommendations.
-
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus and experience maintaining complex web applications in production.
-
Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript, including application architecture, state management, component organization, and scalable frontend development.
-
Strong knowledge of frontend design patterns and the ability to identify design smells and architectural issues in existing codebases.
-
Experience building or maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.
-
Demonstrated experience optimizing frontend performance, including profiling, rendering optimization, loading times, and accessibility.
-
Experience implementing automated frontend tests using tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent technologies.
-
Experience consuming REST APIs and working with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT.
-
Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript for collaboration with backend teams.
-
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, frontend observability tools such as Sentry or Datadog RUM, and controlled rollout strategies using feature flags.
-
Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, Claude Agent SDK, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent solutions, with the ability to critically review and validate generated code and maintain technical accountability for production releases.
-
Willingness to understand business processes, operational workflows, and the needs of internal users.
-
Interest in building data-intensive interfaces with frequent actions and critical workflows, prioritizing clarity, reliability, and error prevention over purely visual effects.
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Product Designers, operational teams, and engineering stakeholders to understand problems before proposing solutions.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions, negotiate scope, and advocate for engineering standards.
-
Critical thinking and sound judgment when evaluating requirements, challenging proposed solutions, and supporting decisions with clear reasoning.
-
Ability to influence other teams through collaboration, consensus-building, and clear technical guidance rather than imposing standards.
-
Strong technical ownership, with the judgment to make independent decisions and escalate complex issues to technical leadership when appropriate.
-
Pragmatic problem-solving skills, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term technical improvements.
-
Experience with Angular in addition to React.
-
Previous contributions to backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
-
Experience building CI/CD pipelines with automated frontend checks, including linting, visual regression testing, and static code analysis.
-
Experience creating prompts or AI agents to support automated code review and validation.
-
Background developing back-office applications or internal tools used by operational teams.
-
Previous experience in fintech, payment processing, or card-issuing businesses.
-
Familiarity with tools such as Storybook, Figma, Jira, Notion, Sentry, or equivalent platforms.
