Lead Consultant - Guidewire Integration Developer

Qualifications

• ClaimCenter certified integration and developer
• Minimum 7 years experience with Guidewire integrations and at least one full product implementation
• Team player who works well with technical and business resources
• Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong initiative; able to self-manage
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work through it to get the right things done

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, modify, debug, and evaluate complex software for technical and integration areas of the Guidewire implementation
• Communicate regularly with the business analyst to interpret, clarify, and plan for the implementation of user stories
• Propose integration solutions and estimate integration effort required for user story requirements
• Develop integration solutions including Batch Processes, Message Queues and Event Messaging
• Develop integration solutions with 3rd party vendors
• Knowledge of XML and SQL
• Creating new data model elements and extending the existing applications data model with new properties
• Managing application configuration and performing minor/major software upgrades
• Establish and execute traceable unit and integration tests (automated as to be agreed)
• Execute the development & ensure successful completion of assigned user stories for each sprint
• Provide timely updates through VSTS
• Understand and apply industry practices, architectural standards and department policies and procedures relating to work assignments

Required

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
• Certification in Guidewire V8.0 (PC or BC)
• 3 plus years of experience in Guidewire implementation with focus on PolicyCenter (PC) V8.0 or later and/or BillingCenter (BC) V8.0 or later

Preferred

• Proficiency in Property & Casualty Insurance personal lines domain. AINS certification preferred
• Experience with Guidewire on-premise to cloud migrations
• Proficiency in Gosu, Java, Webservices, SOA, Plug-ins, Messaging, API and Tomcat
• Proficiency in Guidewire Rating Engine, Activity Assignment, Rules Framework, Workflows
• Proficiency in Oracle database with advanced SQL knowledge
• Proficiency in Agile development methodology
• Proficiency in Software Configuration Management tools
