About the Role

Maleza at Drift Palm Springs is seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays an important role in preparing and executing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Youll work alongside the culinary team to prepare food to recipe and quality standards while maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and consistency our guests expect. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable staying focused and organized during a busy service.

What Youll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before and throughout service.
• Execute dishes accurately and efficiently during service.
• Assist with daily prep and ensure ingredients are properly prepared and ready for service.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper portioning.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and service-ready.
• Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow team members throughout service.
• Support other kitchen stations and team members as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional kitchen environment.

What Were Looking For

• Previous line cook experience in a restaurant, hotel, or high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from the culinary team.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain upon hire.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
