KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

​​• Investigate, assess, and resolve complex or high-exposure Construction Defect claims within authority limits.
• Conduct comprehensive coverage analysis and determine liability exposure. 
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits and in alignment with organizational objectives. 
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise to less experienced claims staff. 
• Collaborate with legal counsel, brokers, and insured clients to ensure proper claim resolution. 
• Ensure adherence to organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. 
• Prepare and present reports on claim status, trends, and risk exposure to management.​ 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

​​• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or related field. 
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in claims handling Complex Construction Defect claims.
• Prior experience managing complex or high-severity claims preferred. 
• Experience with litigation management and settlement negotiation.​ 

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS 

​​• Adjuster license as required by jurisdiction. 
• Industry certifications such as CPCU or AIC preferred but not mandatory.​
