Job Overview

 The Creative Manager is a cross-functional leadership role within the global Creative department at TerraCycle, responsible for executing the creative vision and strategy for TerraCycle, and leading the NA creative team. The Creative Manager will inspire and elevate the quality of creative work across all mediums (graphics, print, motion, UI) and develop brand standards for consumer and commercial brands globally. This hands-on role will suit someone wanting to do it all, but knows when they’re required to execute or inspire/lead. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Alongside the Creative Director, own top-tier strategic/executive and high external visibility projects – confidently pitching concepts to colleagues and managers
• Manage and inspire an in-house creative team and freelance creative, critiquing ideas with the big picture and business objectives in mind
• Be a time management pro, juggling concurrent projects, liaising with multiple internal/marketing stakeholders as well as other department heads to ensure deadlines are met, and signing off before work is presented
• Be a guarantor for the creative process, developing ideas for key moment campaigns across all of TerraCycle’s products and services
• Rigourously evaluate design briefs, always asking what’s the job to be done? – holding both stakeholder and creative accountable for project’s success
• Continuously develop visual guidelines and ensuring creative across the company follow them
• Design graphic content for print and digital (web, social) using your strong knowledge of industry best practices
• Create UI wireframes and designs for priority projects before being developed by product/IT teams, getting the best out of digital capabilities
• Bring your creative vision to life using new tools, using AI to elevate the execution of creative 
• Keep up to date with creative industry innovations to help inspire a team of creative professionals, helping them achieve their potential in an ever changing industry
• Understand the commercial aspects of the business to make informed creative decisions and manage time effectively – bringing key stakeholders along for the ride
• Build strong relationships between other markets (EU and APAC) to elevate standards and maintain consistency across markets
