B3 Health and Safety Manager - Social Security Scotland

We’re looking for an experienced health and safety professional to help advise, guide and keep our colleagues safe so that we can deliver important benefits that really make a difference to the people of Scotland. The Health and Safety Team provides professional advice and support to key stakeholders throughout Social Security Scotland, supporting its values of dignity, fairness and respect. We are developing an integrated approach to health, safety and wellbeing whilst promoting a positive organisational culture and driving continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisations safety management system, set out in the organisations Health and Safety Policy and Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy. This is a varied and rewarding role where youll help promote a positive culture of health, safety and wellbeing across a multi-site organisation. Supporting colleagues in Dundee, Glasgow, at home and in the community. Youll provide expert advice on topics including risk assessment, fire safety and lone working.

Through monitoring performance and analysing data you will identify opportunities for improvement to strengthen our approach to health, safety and wellbeing. This will support our colleagues to work safely and effectively wherever they are.
