The Role

NewRocket is a global team made up of professionals who help our customers run and grow their environments. We are hiring a Solution Architect with ITSM, Integrations & Service Catalog experience. The Solution Architect is responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Software Engineers who provide the development of project professional services for customers. The architect will implement and develop customizations based on functional and technical requirements using leading practices and internal code standards on large-scale more complex professional services projects.

We will set expectations for what success looks like. Then we will allow you use your skills and experience to come up with innovative solutions to achieve customer goals.

What You Will Be Doing

• As a platform architect you will interface with end-users, IT teams and key stakeholders to gather systems requirements for Service Catalog & integrations experience.
• Strong experience with platform, Custom apps processes and can guide customers through understanding technical solutions to their business requirements
• You will customize applications and facilitate rollout of new applications, modules, configure Application UI, Workflow, work orders, transfer orders, inventory, and technician locations
• Experience in Flow designer, Business rules, Scripting, Integrations & Logic implementations
• Configuring integrations between via REST/SOAP web and other applications
• Strong experience with Platform, ITSM & integrations and can guide customers through understanding technical solutions to their business requirements
• Mentor project crew members by managing peer reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Reflect impact assessment rules within service maps and validate with technical SMEs and stakeholders
• Participate in user acceptance testing of the resulting maps, impact rules and event management work
• Promote your update sets and data across applicable SN environments
• Remediate any production incidents that arise related to this scope
• Align with existing SN technical lead for map/event work to ensure consistent approach that does not break shared patterns
• Proactively maintain operational documentation and SOPs to reduce support risk & inefficiency

What You Bring Along

• 8+ years’ experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of in ITSM, Service Catalogs & Integrations.
• Experience with integration between and other systems/platforms using both mid servers and cloud to cloud
• Experience working with Web Services Integration (SOAP, REST) and any bi-directional, automated integration between two systems.
• Data Extraction Technologies (e.g. JDBC, ODBC) or ETL integrations
• Knowledge of all aspects of scripting including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Builder, Scripted REST APIs, and Script Includes
• Thrives in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Ability to create technical design documents and user documentation
• Adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment!

Education: 

• A four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or demonstrated work experience

Certifications & Knowledge 

The candidate must be willing and able to continue their education within the platform and beyond. It is expected that the candidate will be able to complete competency Certifications as well as Module Accreditations. 

Preferred Certifications:

• ITIL Foundation
• CSA and CAD
