Overview

As Vice President, Product Management, youll report to the SVP, Product Management and lead a major product division at Mimecast. You will sit on the product executive leadership team, shape company-level product strategy and make decisions on major product and AI investments. Your remit spans commercial outcomes, the divisions competitive position and the leadership bench needed to sustain both.

What Youll Do

• Own company-level product strategy for the division - pricing and packaging implications, competitive positioning, and platform fit - not just a roadmap.
• Present investment plans directly to the CEO and board, including ROI projections and risk mitigation, and secure approval for major commitments.
• Take full P&L-adjacent accountability for the divisions outcomes, with the product portfolio delivering a significant share of Mimecasts net-new ARR.
• Act as architect of the operating model, culture, and talent strategy for the entire product organization, not just one portfolio.
• Own succession planning and the development pipeline for VP- and director-level product talent across the function.
• Build a leadership team with genuine AI fluency - the ability to reason about AI strategy at a level that informs real investment decisions.
• Navigate the full complexity of running a large product organization at once: talent, strategy, culture, commercial outcomes, and executive alignment.
• Apply AI-powered analytics to rebalance investment and prioritization across multiple teams, not just within a single teams plan.
• Define the AI capability vision for the entire product organization: investment priorities, governance frameworks, and the standard every product leader is held to.

What Youll Bring

• 10+ years of progressive product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software, including several years operating at VP or GM scope with P&L or P&L-adjacent accountability.
• Track record of presenting to and securing investment from a board or equivalent executive body, not just recommending upward to a single sponsor.
• Experience building and running a product organizations operating model end to end - how the function plans, hires, develops talent, and measures itself.
• Demonstrated ownership of a commercial outcome tied directly to revenue, such as net-new ARR, expansion, or a major go-to-market transition, not only product quality metrics.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to represent product strategy credibly to the CEO, board, and external stakeholders.
• Deep fluency in applying AI to product strategy and organizational decision-making, with a clear point of view on responsible, high-standard AI use across a team.
• Cybersecurity or adjacent high-trust enterprise software experience is a strong plus, given the nature of Mimecasts platform.

The base salary range for this position is 216,000 - 324,000 USD plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
