In this role youll

• Investigate and process injury claims end-to-end, in line with company policy and applicable state or federal law

• Gather and evaluate police reports, medical records, and witness statements to build a clear picture of each loss

• Interview claimants, witnesses, medical providers, and other parties to determine liability and claim legitimacy

• Determine claim value and negotiate settlements that are fair, defensible, and timely

• Keep detailed, accurate records of all claim activity throughout the lifecycle of each file

• Collaborate with legal counsel and cross-functional teams when cases require it

• Communicate claim status and decisions to all relevant parties — clearly, professionally, and with genuine empathy

What youll need

• 3+ years of property damage or injury liability claim-handling experience

• A background handling litigated and attorney-represented files — a strong advantage

• Solid working knowledge of insurance laws and regulations

• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Clear, confident written and verbal communication — no jargon, just plain English

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively depending on what the file needs

• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office

• A college degree

• Lemonade expects all advocates to hold and maintain a license in good standing — if you dont have one yet, well work with you to get licensed within your first three months

• Ability to work in a remote environment

Lemonades US base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 - $72,000 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
