About you
We’re looking for a skilled and creative Website Building Specialist to join our team to help build user-friendly custom websites for small, independent retailers in the flooring and home improvement space. Working on transforming older websites into stunning masterpieces that will bring our customers brands to the next level. We need someone with expertise in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, optimizing website performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
About our Stacks:
Design: Figma (design and prototyping), Adobe Creative Suite, Maze (user testing)
Engineering: WordPress, Webflow, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript
What Youll Do:
- Build and customize websites for our customers using WordPress, ensuring they are responsive, accessible and user-friendly
- Update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure website security, performance, and compatibility.
- Design and build custom elements and plugins to enhance website functionality and deliver unique experiences
- Collaborate with the design team to implement creative and functional website designs while ensuring they are responsive and optimized for mobile devices.
- Identify and fix bugs, errors, and performance issues across websites. Perform regular checks to ensure the websites are running smoothly.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience developing websites using WordPress.
- Experience with WordPress themes and plugins, including custom development and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first principles
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, well-tested websites
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.

Expected salary range, Ontario based: $60,000 - $80,000 + other benefits.
