Senior Software Engineer, ChartCheck

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain features supporting radiotherapy plan-checking workflows, including DICOM integration, image visualization, dose visualization, plan visualization, DVH evaluation, and creation of plan checks.
• Develop performant, reliable WPF desktop software using C# and .NET.
• Build and maintain front-end and back-end functionality across web and cloud systems.
• Integrate with oncology information systems through DICOM networking and related clinical interfaces.
• Collaborate with physicists and product leaders to understand clinical needs and translate requirements into production software.
• Contribute to application architecture, automated and manual testing, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Help maintain reliable, secure, and maintainable software within a clinical environment.
• Support teammates through collaboration, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
• Contribute to the development of new products and capabilities supporting cancer centers and radiation oncology workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Deep programming expertise in a high-level language such as C#, C++, or Java, with strong C# application programming skills.
• Strong full-stack development experience spanning front-end and back-end web and cloud systems.
• Experience with C#/.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Lit or equivalent front-end technologies.
• Hands-on experience developing WPF applications with C#/.NET.
• Strong database experience with technologies such as MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong preference for front-end development, with the ability to contribute effectively across the full technology stack.
• Experience with clinical radiotherapy or medical imaging software and DICOM.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and medical device regulations as they relate to software development.
• Experience with cybersecurity and software risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex technical and clinical requirements.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, particularly when working with technical, clinical, and product stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working effectively within a fully remote engineering environment.
