We help healthcare providers and insurers ensure accurate patient eligibility and coverage, reducing claim denials and improving patient access to care.

Our platform processes millions of transactions daily, requiring high availability, security, and scalability. By joining our team, youll help improve healthcare operations and outcomes for patients.

Role Overview

Were looking for a Senior Backend Software Developer with expertise in designing and maintaining scalable .NET applications.

Youll lead technical projects, mentor team members, and lead architecture decisions to ensure our systems meet the reliability, and security.

Experience with healthcare data standards such as EDI and HL7, as well as HIPAA compliance, is highly valued.

You will report to the Software Engineering Director.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture discussions for complex backend systems.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting best practices in coding and testing.
• Manage critical components of the application lifecycle, from design through deployment.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with product owners and partners to influence technical direction and ensure understanding of our goals.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment strategies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and technical design discussions. Testing and Tools
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit and Moq.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL database systems.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace and Amazon CloudWatch.
• Comfortable using Git for version control.

Environments

• Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments, including PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, and EKS.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in .NET 8, C# 12+, and ASP.NET Core
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
• Design and implement secure APIs and enforce best practices for authentication and authorization.
• Experience profiling and optimizing large-scale applications processing millions of transactions daily.
• Familiarity with DRY, SOLID, and Clean Architecture principles.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
