Were actively sourcing for Staff Engineers across multiple portfolio companies. These are high-ownership, hands-on roles for engineers who want to be close to the code and architecture.
Location: San Francisco (onsite) / some roles are NYC or USA (remote)
What Were Looking For:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of end-to-end ownership
- AI-forward mindset, you build with and on top of AI as a core part of your workflow, not an afterthought
- Full-stack capability with comfort owning architecture, infrastructure, and deployment
- Experience shipping production systems at scale with real users and real stakes
- Strong technical instincts, you push for simpler designs, good observability, and strong engineering culture
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast in early-stage environments
About the Roles:
- End-to-end ownership across product, infra, and architecture
- Work directly with founders and small teams, no layers, no bureaucracy
- Ship fast, iterate, and have a real say in technical direction
- Build AI-native features, integrations, and systems from the ground up
A note: several of these teams are specifically looking for engineering leaders who want to return to being hands-on individual contributors. If youve been in management and miss building, this is worth a look.
