Senior Software Engineer - USA Relocation

Location: Mexico, Mexico

Definity is seeking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend solutions for a high-impact project while collaborating with a global engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and are interested in relocating to the U.S. with TN Visa sponsorship.

• This is an on-site position in USA
• Relocation to the United States is required, TN Visa sponsorship provided
• This opportunity is open to candidates based in Mexico with a valid Mexican passport
• Bachelor’s degree and professional license (cédula profesional)

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience building backend systems in production environments
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) required; alternatively, hands-on experience in manufacturing programming with PLC and/or C++
• Solid understanding of relational or NoSQL databases (schema design, queries, performance basics)
• Basic front-end familiarity ability to build or maintain simple UIs when needed
• Experience integrating software with industrial control systems is a strong plus
• Full professional fluency in English (spoken and written) required; interviews are conducted in English

Nice to have

• Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems
• Familiarity with REST or gRPC API design
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Background in manufacturing or industrial tech environments

What youll do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services that integrate with manufacturing systems
• Build reliable software that communicates with industrial control hardware (PLCs and similar)
• Contribute to database architecture and data pipeline design within the plant environment
• Support light front-end work for internal tooling and dashboards
• Ensure system reliability and performance in a mission-critical manufacturing context
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Fremont, Texas, and Buffalo NY locations
