The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Key job responsibilities
You will lead, hire, and develop a team of software engineers. That means setting clear expectations, coaching engineers as they grow, and building a strong bench of technical talent. You will own the technical direction and roadmap for the foundational mobile services and frameworks used across the Amazon Shopping app. Youll also drive architecture and design decisions that balance scale, reliability, performance, and developer experience.

You will put operational excellence first. Youll define the metrics that matter, keep the on-call rotation healthy, and invest in automation that removes recurring operational work. Youll hold a high bar for engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, and good testing practices.

You will work with product managers, technical program managers, and peer engineering teams to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and deliver cross-team projects on schedule. Youll turn unclear, cross-team problems into clear plans with owners, milestones, and success metrics. Youll also communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to both engineers and leadership.
