The Role

This posting covers a single opening on our Wealth Management team that will be leveled as either Senior Advisor or Lead Advisor, based on the candidates years of experience and professional designations. Both levels share the same core mandate and must-have requirements below.

As a Senior or Lead Advisor on our Wealth Management team, youll provide comprehensive support to our high net worth clients throughout their journey with us. This position is fully salaried with no commission structure or sales targets. Your performance will be evaluated on a balanced scorecard focused entirely on delivering world-class client experiences.

Client segment by level: Senior Advisors typically support clients with $1MM+ in assets; Lead Advisors typically support clients with $3MM+ in assets. Final leveling and book assignment is based on experience and designations held.

What youll do

• Provide exceptional onboarding experiences for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to Wealthsimple

• Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to each clients unique situation and goals

• Create custom investment proposals that align with clients financial objectives and risk tolerance

• Proactively service client accounts, anticipating needs before they arise

• Maintain regular communication with clients through phone, video, and in-person meetings

• Apply your financial expertise to complex client situations involving corporations, trusts, and estates

• Contribute your insights to improve our service offering and client experience

What you bring

Required for this role:

• CFP designation required

• CIM or CFA designation required

• Additional designations including FEA, TEP, CPA, etc. are required for a Lead Advisor

Experience (by level):

• Senior Advisor: 5+ years of experience in wealth management or financial advisory roles

• Lead Advisor: 10+ years of experience in wealth management or financial advisory roles, specifically working with HNW/UHNW clients

Also important:

• Proven track record of delivering exceptional client service

• Strong financial planning and investment management knowledge

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

• Client-first mentality in all aspects of your work

• Passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals

• Technology-minded with the ability to leverage digital tools to enhance client experience
