The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Growth Lead to own and execute Virtasant’s search-driven growth strategy across SEO, SEM, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and GEM (Generative Engine Marketing).

This is not a role for someone who only develops strategy or manages agencies. We need someone who can identify what needs to be done and then execute it themselves.

Your goal is straightforward: generate qualified leads and measurable revenue from search and AI-driven discovery channels.

You’ll own the full search growth motion, from identifying opportunities and building the strategy to executing campaigns, optimizing content and landing pages, measuring attribution, and continuously improving performance.

The initial engagement will be a 3-month project, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

What You’ll Own

• Develop and execute an integrated SEO, SEM, GEO, and GEM strategy.

• Increase Virtasant’s visibility across Google and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms.

• Identify high-intent search opportunities relevant to cloud, AI, data, FinOps, and technology consulting buyers.

• Own keyword research, search intent analysis, competitive research, and content/search opportunity identification.

• Execute on-page SEO and work through technical SEO issues affecting organic performance.

• Build, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns, particularly Google Ads.

• Optimize existing content and develop recommendations for new landing pages and search-driven content.

• Improve Virtasant’s visibility and citation potential across generative/AI search experiences.

• Run ongoing experiments across messaging, keywords, landing pages, campaigns, and acquisition channels.

• Build measurement and attribution from search → lead → opportunity → revenue.

• Monitor performance and make hands-on adjustments based on results rather than simply reporting metrics.

• Partner directly with leadership on growth priorities and opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience across SEO and SEM, including personally executing campaigns and optimization.

• Current understanding of GEO, AI search, LLM discovery, and how generative search is changing traditional SEO.

• Experience generating B2B leads and pipeline, with an understanding of how search activity translates into revenue.

• Experience in cloud, technology consulting, IT services, professional services, or a closely related B2B technology environment strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Google search ecosystem and relevant analytics/measurement tools.

• Ability to identify growth opportunities independently and execute without requiring a large team or agency.

• Comfortable moving between strategy, analysis, experimentation, and hands-on implementation.

• Strong commercial mindset: success is measured by qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue—not traffic alone.
