In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and deliver technical training that supports current business priorities and future competency needs. You will turn complex product and system information into practical, engaging learning experiences for employees, Sales Areas, customer trainers, and other stakeholders.

  • Assess organizational and customer competency needs and translate them into effective learning solutions.
  • Develop practical training aids, demonstrations, exercises, and supporting materials.
  • Gather learner and stakeholder feedback and use it to continuously improve the training offering.
  • Support trainer certification and maintain accurate training, competency, and certification records.
  • Evaluate third-party training programs when appropriate.

What We’re Looking For (and Why You’re a Great Fit)

  • Five or more years of experience in engineering, technical support, technical instruction, training, or education.
  • Strong instructional-design skills and knowledge of adult-learning and competency-based training principles.
  • Ability to translate complex engineering information into clear, audience-appropriate content.
  • Knowledge of battery-electric vehicle systems, battery technology, charging systems, and related electrical, mechanical, maintenance, and safety practices.
  • Strong project-management, organizational, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with e-learning authoring tools and learning-management systems is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, operations, or manufacturing engineering; automotive technology; or another related technical field is preferred.
  • Relevant teaching credentials, career and technical education credentials, certified trainer or instructional designer credentials, adult education qualifications, or training-management certifications may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

  • You will join a team that truly values you and your contributions. Here’s what you can expect:
  • Great Pay & Benefits: Competitive salary ($116,000 – $144,000), plus medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) with a company contribution of 5%, along with a matching contribution.
