Job Description

Powering the agentic revolution in travel. Sabre is an AI-native technology leader, backed by one of the world’s largest travel data clouds. Built on an open, modular, cloud-native architecture, Sabre serves as the backbone for both established leaders and bold, new disruptors, guiding them to the next age of travel retailing through intelligent, connected, and personalized experiences. With AI at its core and operating at unparalleled scale, Sabre transforms insights into innovation, empowering airlines, hoteliers, agencies and other partners to retail, distribute and fulfill travel worldwide.

We are seeking a Head of Airline Payments EMEA-APAC to join our global Airline and Hospitality Payments team, where innovation knows no borders.

Payments are no longer just the final step in travel. They shape conversion, trust, operational efficiency and the customer experience. This role will help airlines across EMEA and APAC move faster, simplify payment complexity and get more value from Sabre Travel Payments.

As Head of Airline Payments EMEA-APAC, you will lead regional commercial growth for airline payments. You will build new customer relationships, grow existing accounts and guide airlines through payment modernization with clear, practical advice. You will also connect regional customer needs with Sabre’s global product, marketing and operations teams so we can keep solving the right problems, together.

This is a senior commercial leadership role for someone who can challenge old ways of working, build trust with customers and turn opportunity into measurable growth. Let’s get going.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the EMEA-APAC airline payments sales strategy across new business, renewals, expansion and share-shift opportunities.

  • Build and grow trusted relationships with airline payment, distribution, finance and commercial leaders.

  • Guide customers through payment modernization, including acceptance, virtual cards, account-to-account payments, supplier enablement, fraud, chargebacks and reconciliation.

  • Shape compelling value propositions, negotiate enterprise agreements and move opportunities from early engagement to commercial close.

  • Partner with product, marketing, operations and regional commercial teams to connect customer needs with roadmap priorities and go-to-market plans.

What you’ll bring:

  • Solid experience in strategic sales, commercial partnerships or business development, ideally in airline payments, fintech, travel technology or enterprise SaaS.

  • Proven success selling payment or financial technology solutions to airlines, travel sellers or other travel ecosystem partners.

  • Strong understanding of merchant services, payment acceptance, fraud management, chargebacks, reconciliation, virtual cards and account-to-account payments.

  • Experience leading complex, long-cycle enterprise sales and negotiating with senior customer stakeholders across EMEA, APAC or global markets.

  • Strong commercial judgment, a collaborative leadership style and the confidence to challenge legacy processes when there is a better way forward.

Benefits that support you:

  • Competitive pay and performance-based bonuses

  • Flexible work options

  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage

  • Generous paid time off and holidays

  • Professional development opportunities

Location: we are open to hire this position in different countries across Europe.

We will review your application carefully against the role requirements and keep you informed as the process moves forward. Candidates who meet the minimum criteria will be contacted for next steps.

At Sabre, you’ll work with people who are ambitious for our customers and each other. You’ll collaborate with airlines, fintechs, banks, card networks and travel leaders to help solve real payment challenges across the travel ecosystem.

You’ll also play a role in helping travel payments move toward more open, order-based and customer-centered ways of working. The status quo has had its turn. Now we build what comes next.

We will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria. You will receive separate notification as your application progresses. Please note that only candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role will proceed in the selection process.
