Strategic Implementation Lead

Location: Chicago, Remote

Department: Regulatory

Location Type: IN_OFFICE

Employment Type: FULL_TIME

Responsiv Overview
Responsiv is a regulatory change management platform that tells you when your regulatory posture is out of date. Responsiv analyzes new regulations and notifies you when there’s been an important new rule that you should be aware of. It then takes that regulation and performs a gap analysis on your existing controls, policies, and procedures, suggesting necessary changes. Responsiv addresses the challenge of staying compliant in an increasingly complex and fast-evolving regulatory landscape allowing you to:
  • Track your regulatory obligations: Continuously monitor which laws and regulations apply to your organization, ensuring you remain compliant with every requirement.
  • Ensure your controls and policies are always up to date: with ongoing gap analyses
  • Update your controls and policies with new regulations immediately: by automatically drafting compliance updates based on the latest regulatory guidelines
  • Get back to the business faster: by understanding the regulatory context behind a specific situation that may not be covered in existing policies

Backed by Greylock and OnDean Forward (Andrew Sieja, the founder of Relativity).

Strategic Implementation Lead Overview
Responsiv is hiring a Strategic Implementation Lead to own the customer journey from pre-sale solution design through implementation, adoption, and value realization.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can blend:
  1. Implementation — configuring and launching the product successfully
  2. Customer Success — driving adoption, value realization, and referenceability
  3. Solutions — translating customer problems into credible Responsiv workflows and responding to RFPs
The ideal candidate is a former consultant, regulatory change practitioner, compliance transformation operator, or legal/compliance technology implementation lead who understands how regulated organizations actually change processes — not just how software is deployed.

This person will work directly with customers, prospects, Sales, Product, Design, and Engineering to make Responsiv successful in complex regulated environments.

Own Strategic Customer Implementations
You will own implementations from kickoff through value realization. That means leading customer kickoff, implementation planning, workflow design, configuration, launch, and adoption. You will help customers define success criteria, prioritize use cases, align stakeholders, and create the operating cadence needed to make Responsiv successful.

This role is not just about getting customers live. It is about ensuring customers use Responsiv in meaningful regulatory, legal, compliance, and risk workflows. You will be responsible for helping customers build the process around the product, including governance, cadence, roles, approvals, escalation paths, and operating routines. Software alone does not transform a compliance program; this role is responsible for making sure Responsiv becomes embedded in how customers actually work.

Lead Pre-Sale Customer Discovery to build the Customers Regulatory Foundation
You will help customers build the regulatory foundation required for Responsiv to deliver useful outputs. That starts with understanding the customer’s business model, products, services, jurisdictions, regulators, licenses, permissions, policies, controls, procedures, and existing compliance processes. You will translate that discovery into credible solution designs, tailored product demonstrations, proof-of-value plans, implementation assumptions, and clear recommendations for how Responsiv should be configured and positioned. You will help ensure regulatory alerts are properly scoped and relevant. You will ensure their gap analysis is actionable and defensible. This requires knowledge of both the law and the customer.

Refine the Customers Obligation Register
Responsiv helps customers build and maintain their register of obligations. Your role is to guide the final refinement: making sure obligations are described, organized, and scoped in a way that supports useful monitoring, alerting, impact assessment, gap analysis, and downstream policy or control updates.

Be the Connective Tissue between Customers and Product
Implementations are where the product meets reality. You will be one of Responsiv’s strongest sources of customer insight because you will see how customers actually use the product, where they get stuck, and what capabilities would make implementations more repeatable and valuable.

Operate well in a fast-paced environment.
Build competence in our industry and product. You will have high expectations for our team and of yourself as we expect to get work done with quality and speed. You will own the SLAs to respond quickly to prospect and customer questions, as well as internal colleagues. Your ability to adapt, shift and change quickly as the environment changes will give you an edge in your selling position as we are learning frequently and inserting improvements into our business and processes.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, regulatory change, or an actionable legal or compliance role at a regulated organization.
  • Experience working with financial institutions, regulated enterprises, or complex compliance organizations.
  • Ability to read and understand regulatory materials and connect regulatory requirements to a customer’s business, products, licenses, policies, controls, and procedures.

At Responsiv, our core values are not just words on a page; they are the guiding principles that shape our culture, define our actions, and propel us towards our vision.
  • Advocate like youre right. Listen like youre wrong. We communicate ideas with both passion and humility. We are all responsible for innovation and believe that ideas can come from anyone.
  • Practice extreme ownership: With ownership comes accountability. Deliver on your commitments and take individual responsibility for the team’s successes and failures.
  • Measure success: Having clarity on what success looks like is critical to its achievement. Make sure the measurements are meaningful. ·
  • Make an impact: Iterate quickly. Speed over Perfection. Results over Activity.
  • Do more with less: We value efficiency and resourcefulness. Quality is not dictated by the quantity of resources, but how effectively they are used.
  • Celebrate the wins. Acknowledge the losses. Both are important signals to help us steer the ship. Give meaning to the hard work by recognizing the moments, milestones, stories and people in our joint success.
