About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, organized, and client-focused SEO, GEO & Content Strategist to lead a focused portfolio of 2–4 client accounts.

You will serve as the strategic lead for your accounts, developing organic growth strategies, leading client relationships, coordinating internal teams and freelance writers, and ensuring projects move forward effectively.

This is not a heavily technical SEO role. You will work closely with dedicated search analysts who handle technical SEO audits, technical recommendations, developer tickets, and reporting dashboards. Your focus will be on SEO strategy, content strategy, audience research, GEO/AEO, client communication, and overall account leadership.

You will report directly to the Director of Client Services and have the opportunity to work closely with analysts, copywriters, designers, and developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and day-to-day leadership of 2-4 client accounts, serving as the primary client contact and strategic lead.
• Lead client meetings, develop agendas, present strategic recommendations, provide updates, and build strong long-term relationships with client stakeholders.
• Develop and guide SEO strategies based on search data, audience insights, competitive research, and business objectives.
• Lead audience research initiatives, including customer interviews, sales call reviews, CRM insights, and other research to better understand customer needs and search behavior.
• Develop content strategies, editorial calendars, topic plans, and content briefs aligned with search intent and business goals.
• Coordinate and guide freelance copywriters, review deliverables, and ensure content meets strategic and quality standards.
• Help clients improve their visibility across AI-powered search experiences such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews. Deep GEO experience is not required; training will be provided.
• Partner with SEO analysts, copywriters, designers, developers, and other team members to keep projects moving and ensure strategic recommendations are executed effectively.
• Review organic performance data, rankings, traffic, leads, and other KPIs to develop clear monthly insights, recommendations, and action plans

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional SEO experience, ideally working with B2B clients.
• Strong experience developing and executing SEO strategies, not just technical implementation.
• Proven experience managing multiple client accounts and/or working in a client-facing agency environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to lead client calls and present strategic recommendations to U.S. based stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of content strategy, keyword research, search intent, on-page SEO, and editorial planning.
• Experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively identify opportunities or problems.
• Highly collaborative and comfortable working with analysts, writers, designers, developers, and other specialists.
• GEO/AEO or AI search experience is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
