About the Role

Nao Now is looking for enthusiastic and engaging STEM educators to inspire the next generation of young learners.

This is a fully remote, part-time independent contractor position where youll teach 1-on-1 English lessons to children ages 5–12 using our structured, interactive curriculum. Were looking for teachers who can naturally bring science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and critical thinking into classroom conversations.

No lesson planning is required. All curriculum and teaching materials are provided, allowing you to focus on delivering energetic, engaging lessons that build students confidence in speaking English.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach 25-minute, one-on-one online English lessons to children ages 5–12

• Deliver engaging lessons using Nao Nows structured curriculum

• Incorporate age-appropriate STEM concepts and real-world examples into classroom discussions when appropriate

• Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and confident English communication

• Create a fun, supportive, and interactive learning environment

• Provide thoughtful lesson feedback after each class

• Maintain a professional, energetic, and encouraging on-camera presence

• Commit to a consistent weekly teaching schedule

Schedule Requirements

• Minimum of 10 teaching hours per week

• Available during peak teaching hours:

  • Monday–Friday

  • 5:30 PM–10:00 PM KST

• Minimum 3-month commitment

• Consistent weekly availability required

Compensation

• Starting at $20 USD per hour

• Paid per completed 25-minute lesson

• Compensation based on qualifications, experience, and evaluation performance

• All curriculum and teaching materials provided

• No unpaid lesson planning required

• Training and onboarding are unpaid

Required Qualifications

• Native English speaker

• Bachelors degree or proof of current enrollment in a bachelors program

• Academic background in one or more of the following:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry

  • Physics

  • Mathematics

  • Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Environmental Science

  • Health Sciences

  • STEM/STEAM Education

  • Other related STEM disciplines

• Experience working with children ages 5–12

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Friendly, engaging, and energetic teaching style

• Reliable wired internet connection (minimum 60 Mbps)

• Quiet, professional teaching environment

• Headset (noise-cancelling preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous ESL or English teaching experience is an asset but is not required.

Technical Requirements

• Wired ethernet connection

• Stable internet connection (minimum 60 Mbps)

• Computer less than five years old recommended

• Professional, distraction-free workspace
