Cost Estimator, Mechanical Systems (pluming, HVA, fire protection, etc.)

Location: Remote

• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing of primarily federal construction projects
• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and related systems within construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overheads.
• Provide high-quality estimating data in a timely and professional manner
• Develop familiarity with Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Element concepts
• Apply basic computer skills in the execution of work
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and provide cost control measures to keep projects within budget.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from accredited college or university; engineering or quantity survey degree preferred
• 2 - 5 years’ cost estimating experience with demonstrated expertise in Mechanical (Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection, and related) systems.
• Working knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
• Knowledge and experience in estimating software and tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, MII, PACES, RS Means).
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Certification such as CCT, CCP or CEP is preferred
• General knowledge of construction methods and practices
• Strong individual contributor who is comfortable and effective in working with internal discipline teams and external client teams.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Due to the clients we serve, this position requires US Citizenship.
• Demonstrated track record of success working in a fully remote environment with the ability to travel as required to client sites and MOCA officers is required,
