Data Associate, Data Excellence

Description

Ledgebrook is seeking a Data Associate, Data Excellence to join our Product & Data team. On this team, you’ll lead analytical efforts to drive data informed decision-making across the entire organization by gathering, analyzing, and visualizing / presenting technical insurance data.

As a Data Associate, Data Excellence, you will collaborate with data engineering, insurance product, claims, finance and operations teams to improve data integrity and automate reporting capabilities using VBA, SQL and Python. A key part of your role will be transforming complex insurance data into clear, compelling insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders through required reporting and data visualization. Beyond reporting, you’ll conduct deep-dive data analysis, develop analytical tools, deliver dedicated solutions to help other departments automate their workflows, and identify opportunities to enhance business performance and operational effectiveness. You will also provide ad hoc analytical support and research as needed to ensure Ledgebrook continues to operate with data-driven precision.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a collaborative approach, strong analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes. Some specific experiences and skills include:

  • Proficiency with SQL and Excel (ideally including VBA and Power Query).
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker),
  • Exposure to programming languages (e.g. Python, R) and to modern databases, ideally to Snowflake.
  • Exposure to Power Automate and Power Apps, DataGrip / Cursor, and Jira would be an asset.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Navigating a startup environment, fast paced and dealing with uncertainty.

Nice to have: Property, Specialty or Casualty insurance data experience, strong interest in AI and ML tools.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is 10 450-12,500 PLN gross/month (Contract of Employment). This is a good-faith compensation range based on what Ledgebrook reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.

Employees in this position are eligible to participate in Ledgebrook’s equity incentive program.
