Klass Wagen Group is a multi-country car rental group operating in multiple locations, with a fleet of approximately 7,000 vehicles across Portugal, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Romania. Alongside our core rental business, we run a growing car-trading operation: vehicles exiting our rental fleet are reconditioned and sold directly to consumers, giving us a second, fast-growing revenue line built on assets we already own.

About the Role

Were looking for a Country Commercial Director to own our Car Trading business in Portugal end to end — from acquiring the right vehicles at the right price, to pricing, listing, selling and collecting payment. This is a full profit-and-loss role, not a support function: youll set the strategy, own the numbers, and report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. What Youll Do

• Own the full car-trading cycle in Portugal: vehicle acquisition, pricing, listing, sale and payment collection.

• Negotiate directly with dealerships, importers and manufacturers on pricing, warranties and service agreements.

• Decide, case by case, whether to buy, lease or short-term rent vehicles based on cost and business need.

• Manage pricing in real time against market conditions and competitor movement to protect margin and minimize days in stock.

• Own the countrys commercial budget and P&L together with Finance — monthly forecasting, tracking actuals vs. plan, and course-correcting when targets are at risk.

• Build and manage channels across B2B, B2C, dealer networks and auctions, developing new partnerships where they add profitability.

• Lead, coach and grow a small commercial team, setting clear targets and building a strong performance culture.

• Analyze market trends — pricing, availability, EV and emissions shifts — to keep our acquisition strategy ahead of the curve.

• Report regularly to the CCO on acquisition performance, fleet utilization and budget adherence.

What Were Looking For

• 5+ years in automotive commercial roles in Portugal.

• Proven experience in used-car trading and/or B2B fleet sales.

• A track record of independently managing a P&L — not just a sales target or a budget line.

• A strong, active network in the Portuguese car market: dealers, leasing companies, rental/RAC players.

• An entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable making the call and owning the outcome.

• Native-level Portuguese and business-level English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with RAC fleet exit / de-fleeting operations.

• Familiarity with Standvirtual, AutoScout24 Portugal or OLX Portugal.

• Prior experience leading a small commercial team.

• Exposure to EV or Chinese-brand vehicle portfolios.

What We Offer

• Base salary: €50,000 gross per year, paid over 14 months.
