Description

Expertise and Functions

• Participate in personnel recruiting, employee retention and manpower management
• Provide engineer assessment and feedback through employee evaluations, formal and informal counselings, merit increases, and promotions
• Support personnel career growth to include alignment of individual goals to organizational goals and corresponding employee training/mentoring
• Provide effective mentoring and guidance to fellow engineers to ensure effective results
• Ensure a diverse and inclusive culture of respect and trust
• Engage with program, engineering and production customers
• Support team growth through opportunity identification and business development support as required
• Work through Program Managers and IPT leaders to achieve optimum program/functional cost/technical/schedule execution by assigning resources as required
• Direct utilization of Subject Matter Experts as necessary
• Resolve programmatic and functional issues
• Manage overhead expenses
• Support process development, deployment and process improvement
• Participate in the definition, collection and analysis of organizational metrics for continuous improvement
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required

• Master’s Degree in a related field preferred

• Additional direct experience required without degree

Experience:

• Current KIHOMAC employees with positions in Engineering or Analysis are encouraged to apply

Security:

• Must be a US citizen
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements:

• Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms

• Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
• Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)

• Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
