Workplace Type: remote

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Franchise Business Consultant (Remote-Field) based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Franchise Business Consultant to support franchisees in strengthening business performance, expanding their operations, and delivering consistent brand standards. In this remote-field role, you will serve as a trusted business advisor, building strong relationships and helping franchise owners achieve sustainable growth. You will analyze financial and operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Working closely with franchisees and internal teams, you will support new center development, brand initiatives, and franchise renewal activities. This position combines strategic guidance, financial analysis, operational coaching, and hands-on problem-solving across a diverse franchise network. Regular nationwide travel will allow you to engage directly with franchisees and drive measurable business results.

Accountabilities:

As a key advisor to franchise owners, you will help improve financial performance, strengthen operational consistency, and support the long-term development of the franchise network. You will use performance data, relationship-building skills, and structured action plans to help franchisees overcome challenges and achieve their business objectives.

    • Serve as the primary business advisor and support contact for franchisees in assigned geographic areas, sharing best practices and challenges with fellow consultants.
    • Coach and motivate franchisees to achieve operational KPIs, sales targets, profitability goals, and new center development objectives.
    • Conduct root cause analyses, develop targeted action plans, and establish follow-up processes to improve accountability and compliance with brand standards.
    • Identify opportunities to increase same-store sales, improve unit economics, strengthen margins, and enhance overall franchisee profitability.
    • Recommend improvements to daily operations, service quality, business processes, and operational excellence.
    • Conduct quarterly business reviews to evaluate financial and operational performance, identify growth opportunities, and establish actionable improvement strategies.
    • Use internal platforms, including SMG and FranConnect, to analyze performance data and deliver insights that support business growth.
    • Evaluate franchisee goals, profit-and-loss statements, financial constraints, and market conditions to develop tailored recommendations.
    • Ensure franchisees comply with applicable business requirements, operating procedures, and brand standards.
    • Collaborate with Business Development and Legal teams on franchise renewal discussions, monitor agreement expiration dates, and proactively address financial and operational considerations.
    • Support the adoption of brand initiatives and the development of new franchise centers across assigned territories.
    • Facilitate training initiatives that equip franchisees with practical tools and insights to improve performance and sustain growth.
    • Travel nationally approximately 50%–75% of the time, including overnight visits and meetings with franchisees and staff.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support franchisee success and business objectives.
    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded, relationship-focused professional with experience supporting franchise operations and driving measurable improvements in revenue, profitability, and operational performance. You should combine strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence franchise owners, manage competing priorities, and work independently in a remote environment.

      • At least 5 years of experience within a franchise organization, supporting franchisee performance and unit growth.
      • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
      • Demonstrated success in increasing revenue and profitability while meeting operational targets and brand standards.
      • Experience working remotely and managing responsibilities independently across multiple locations or teams.
      • Proven ability to analyze and interpret franchisee profit-and-loss statements, identify financial drivers, and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
      • Strong relationship-building, influencing, communication, and problem-resolution skills.
      • Ability to communicate business concepts, programs, and performance expectations clearly to diverse audiences.
      • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn operational and financial data into practical recommendations.
      • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
      • Experience facilitating training or coaching initiatives that help franchisees improve business performance.
      • Willingness and ability to travel overnight and nationally approximately 50%–75% of the time.
      • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary to meet franchisee business needs.
      • Work authorization: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
