The Role

We are looking for a Category Manager – Gaming, based in Düsseldorf or Berlin, to drive the development and performance of our Gaming category in Germany.

As the entrepreneur of your category, you will own its P&L and end-to-end performance — from brand and product sourcing, supplier negotiations and assortment strategy to pricing, inventory management, sales and profitability.

This is a highly autonomous role with direct business impact, at the heart of Joybuy’s growth in Germany and across Europe.

What You Will Do

• You own and continuously optimize your category offering and assortment, leveraging market trends, data and competitive insights to select the right brands and products, identify new opportunities and build an attractive, competitive and differentiated Gaming offering.
• You identify and onboard high-potential products and brands, developing new opportunities and building future best-sellers within the category.
• You build strategic relationships with brands and suppliers, negotiate the best commercial terms and marketing budgets, and optimize procurement costs.
• You own your category performance across key KPIs including revenue, traffic, conversion, gross margin, inventory levels and stock turnover, taking action to achieve your commercial and profitability targets.
• You work closely with Marketing, Operations, Supply and Content teams to increase product visibility and develop impactful commercial campaigns, including major promotional events, flash sales and brand activations.
• You optimize inventory and procurement planning, ensuring product availability while minimizing overstock, ageing inventory and slow-moving products.
• You analyze customer behavior, product performance and customer feedback to identify new growth opportunities and continuously improve the assortment and shopping experience.

What We Are Looking For

• You have at least 4 years of experience in Category Management and/or Buying on the retailer side, within an e-commerce or retail environment.
• You have a strong understanding of the German Gaming market, its consumers, distribution landscape, key brands and suppliers.
• You have strong commercial negotiation skills and can independently develop new supplier relationships, lead negotiations and establish strategic partnerships.
• You are data-driven and comfortable using data and KPIs to identify opportunities and issues, make business decisions and optimize category performance.
• You are curious, organized and have an entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive to build and grow a business in a fast-paced launch environment.
• You are fluent in German and have a good command of English, including spoken English, enabling you to collaborate effectively with international teams.
