Communications Manager

Our client is a globally recognised technology company operating in the travel and digital marketplace sector, connecting people with unique accommodation and travel experiences around the world. As the business continues to grow across Central and Eastern Europe, they are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to help shape and strengthen the brand’s story across the region.

The Role

• Lead communications initiatives across Central and Eastern Europe, working as part of a fast-paced, high-energy communications team.

• Develop and execute high-impact consumer communications campaigns designed to generate strong reach, visibility and engagement.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Legal, Business Operations and Communications to deliver integrated communications strategies.

• Build and execute consumer, product, influencer and corporate communications initiatives that enhance and protect the company’s reputation across the region.

• Develop proactive media strategies and shape narratives around:

  • Consumer and lifestyle trends

  • Travel and tourism

  • Product and corporate announcements

  • Current events and culture

  • Reputation and corporate affairs

• Manage reactive media enquiries, coordinating with internal stakeholders to provide effective and timely responses.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors and media outlets across the region.

• Work closely with external PR agencies to ensure excellent campaign execution and measurable results.

• Identify and engage talent, influencers and content creators for locally relevant campaigns.

• Monitor the regional media, political and social landscape and identify opportunities to proactively position the company.

• Operate independently with minimal supervision, while demonstrating sound judgement around when issues require escalation.

• Contribute to making the company one of the most positively discussed brands in the markets you support.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in communications, PR, corporate communications or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of the CEE media and influencer landscape.

• An established network of relevant media contacts and proven experience building strong journalist relationships.

• Demonstrated success managing both proactive and reactive media relations.

• Excellent understanding of how to identify and develop compelling stories that resonate across traditional and social media.

• Strong awareness of current affairs, political developments and regional issues, with the ability to understand how these may impact a business and its reputation.

• Experience working on high-visibility consumer communications campaigns.

• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or crisis situations.

• A strategic and creative mindset, combined with a hands-on, proactive approach.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving international environment.

• A genuine interest in travel, technology, culture, current affairs and social trends.
