Job Summary

Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering with executive leadership, this role provides comprehensive executive oversight across technology, enterprise systems, and risk management. The Chief Product, Engineering, and Data Officer will report into this role.
Key Responsibilities

- Drive the overall technology strategy, cloud infrastructure, and technical execution for GoodPower’s core SaaS platform.
- Manage the enterprise technology budget, driving cost optimization across software licensing, infrastructure procurement, hardware lifecycles, and vendor contracts.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to bring new products from beta to market launch while managing technical debt.
- Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on enterprise technical risk, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and corporate cyber resilience.
Enterprise IT & Collaboration Architecture
- Lead day-to-day corporate IT operations, including endpoint management, automated provisioning/deprovisioning, and multi-tier helpdesk support.
- Administer enterprise productivity suites and communication architectures, enforcing zero-trust access controls, single sign-on, and document retention policies.

Corporate Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance

- Enforce compliance and audit readiness (e.g., SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, ISO 27001, and c3/c4 non-profit legal boundaries) across internal architectures in collaboration with Legal, HR, and Finance.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Platform Boundaries
- Partner closely with other leadership to turn high-level concepts and early-stage prototypes into operational reality. Evaluate alpha projects and PoCs built across departments and lead the execution to either seamlessly integrate them into the core SaaS platform or architect them as standalone, highly scalable services.
- Act as the primary advisor to staff, leadership, and the Board on technological capabilities, emerging enterprise risks, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Mitigate vendor lock-in risk by establishing standardized data portability and integration frameworks across all corporate SaaS applications.
Product, Engineering, and Data Oversight
- Serve as the direct manager for the Chief Product, Engineering, and Data Officer (CPEDO), setting shared goals and ensuring alignment between product/engineering/data strategy and enterprise technology, infrastructure, and security standards.
- Partner with the CPEDO on budget, resourcing, and prioritization trade-offs across product, engineering, and data initiatives.
Team Leadership & Operational Culture
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing, service-oriented IT and security team tailored to GoodPowers mission and growth objectives.
