EMDC Technical Team Leader
Department: Supply Chain - Production Planning
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Netherlands/Venray, Hybrid
ROLE PURPOSE
The Configuration Center Technical Team Leader ensures the effective management and coordination of technical operations at the European Master Distribution Centre (EMDC). You will lead the technical team, oversee configuration processes and daily activities, and ensure system configurations are accurate and up to date.
Working closely with project managers, stakeholders, technical teams and third-party suppliers, you will assign tasks, monitor progress, support team development, resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement. Strong technical, leadership, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily operations: Oversee EMDC technical activities, conduct daily team meetings, coordinate with production planning and production teams, and address DSV Technical Center inquiries.
- Production and quality support: Ensure teams receive the support required to perform their tasks, escalating potential issues through established channels.
- Continuous improvement and quality: Maintain and develop the EMDC continuous improvement program and Quality Management System with support from the Quality team.
- DSV coordination: Manage daily production and quality communications and review monthly production-related invoices.
- Team leadership: Support and develop the engineering team, manage performance and EPDRs, and act as the escalation point for production engineering activities.
- Technical support: Oversee non-conformities, Work Instructions, TSAL control, process changes, MPP activities, working agreements, production audits, NSI support, NPI processes and new-product pilots.
- Third-party coordination: Coordinate production partners, monitor compliance with company standards and resolve issues to maintain smooth operations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
- Proven experience with manufacturing lines and leadership in a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Strong electromechanical knowledge and technical troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; relevant certification is preferred.
- Proven project management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools, including CAD and ERP systems.

- Knowledge of international supply chain operations / trade and issues that may arise
