Position Summary
The Senior Systems Engineer serves as a senior technical resource within the Corporate Information Technology team, responsible for the design, implementation, support, and continual improvement of enterprise technology platforms. This role acts as a technical escalation point, leads strategic infrastructure and security projects, mentors other engineers, and drives operational excellence across global IT services.
The successful candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills, project management capabilities, and a commitment to improving systems, processes, and team effectiveness. This position plays a critical role in maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable technology services while supporting business growth and cybersecurity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Engineering & Technical Leadership
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure and cloud services.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex incidents and operational issues.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts across infrastructure, endpoint management, Microsoft 365, identity, security, networking, and related technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance security, performance, and efficiency.
- Lead and deliver strategic IT projects from planning through implementation.
- Coordinate technology migrations, platform upgrades, and security improvement initiatives.
- Support cross-functional projects led by other engineers and business stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
- Drive initiatives that improve the organizations security posture.
- Support endpoint management, identity management, patching, monitoring, and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain security controls and best practices.
- Identify and implement operational improvements that increase efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Systems Engineers and support personnel.
- Share knowledge through documentation, training sessions, and knowledge articles.
- Assist in developing technical standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
- Take ownership of key IT processes and ensure they are documented, maintained, and continuously improved.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Participate in change management, incident management, and problem management activities.
- Drive standardization and automation opportunities wherever possible.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.
- Translate technical concepts into business-focused recommendations.
- Collaborate with global teams to support enterprise initiatives and service delivery.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor within the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related IT roles.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, endpoint management, and cloud services.
- Experience with endpoint security platforms.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and enterprise IT operations.
- Experience leading technical projects and infrastructure implementations.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with monitoring solutions, and automation tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
- Relevant Microsoft or cybersecurity certifications.
- Experience supporting global organizations.
- Successful delivery of strategic IT projects.
- Reduction of operational risk and technical debt.
- Improved security posture and platform reliability.
- Effective mentoring and development of junior engineers.
- High-quality technical documentation and process ownership.
- Strong stakeholder satisfaction and partnership.

This is a Remote position with occasional travel to the office especially in the first months.
