Staff Product Designer

The Role

As a Staff Product Designer, youll lead the design for how primary care clinicians work. You’ll develop a deep understanding of their workflows to inspire an AI-native experience while keeping the team grounded in day-to-day clinical practice.

This role is for someone who creates and champions compelling UX strategy and experience visions while guiding work across multiple squads. Youll shape interaction patterns and contribute to visual language development — all while modeling the craft, curiosity, and collaborative ways of working that raise the bar for designers around you.

Clinicians have repeatedly awarded Elation Best in KLAS in our category, a recognition that reflects our clinician-first approach to everything we build. Reporting up through our Chief Product Officer, youll work autonomously within your team while remaining connected to a centralized design group that is deeply collaborative and curious. Youll also find enthusiastic partners in our on-staff physicians, our users, and teams across the organization.

What Youll Do (Role and Responsibilities)

• Deeply understand our users — their problems, workflows, and jobs-to-be-done — to ensure we are always solving for the right thing.
• Own and lead the design process from discovery to delivery, making key decisions on solution direction and details.
• Drive the strategic direction of your domain in partnership with Product and Engineering, forecasting the impact of your solutions on users.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a clear, consistent, and high-quality user experience.
• As an AI-native design leader, you will balance cutting-edge technology with patient safety and accuracy across user-facing and backend experiences. 
• Define and own the user satisfaction and usability metrics for your solutions, ensuring the team is aligned on how to measure success.
• Be a leader on the design team by mentoring other designers, leading design critiques, and driving initiatives that improve our culture, tools, and processes.

What Were Looking For (Experience and Skills)

• 8+ years of experience designing and shipping complex, web-based products in a cross-functional team.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces, from research and strategy through to polished, human-centered user experiences. Your portfolio should showcase your strengths in UX, UI, and visual design.
• Proven experience in leading and executing a variety of user research methods.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of building strong partnerships with Product and Engineering.
• Experience in designing for complex workflows is a must; experience in healthcare or with AI-powered experiences is a strong plus.

SALARY RANGE: $160,000 - 185,000 USD
