Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Scientist with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to work on data science projects with a strong focus on forecasting and predictive modeling. The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in Python, software development best practices, and building reliable and maintainable data science solutions. Experience with Azure-based data and machine learning platforms will be an added advantage.

1. Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain data science solutions with a focus on forecasting use cases.
2. Analyze datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights relevant to business requirements.
3. Build, evaluate, and improve forecasting and predictive models.
4. Prepare and transform data required for model development and analysis.
5. Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
6. Ensure developed solutions are reliable, maintainable, and suitable for deployment.
7. Monitor model performance and support continuous improvement of existing forecasting solutions.
8. Document models, methodologies, assumptions, and project outcomes.

2. Must-Have Skills

1. 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in Data Science.
2. Strong hands-on experience with Python for data science and model development.
3. Hands-on experience with forecasting and predictive modeling techniques.
4. Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Modularization.
5. Hands-on experience with Git and Version Control practices.
6. Hands-on experience with Unit Testing.
7. Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and software development practices.
8. Good level of written and spoken English.

3. Good-to-Have Skills

1. Experience with Azure Databricks.
2. Experience with Azure Machine Learning, particularly Jobs and Pipelines.
3. Knowledge of YAML configurations.
4. Hands-on experience with PySpark.
5. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar task management tools.
