Section Head- Quality

Location: Rajgangpur, Odisha, India

Responsibilities:

• Enforce strict compliance with global safety regulations and plant quality standards to prevent workplace hazards.
• Monitor quality of raw materials, raw meal, kiln feed, and clinker.
• Ensure clinker quality compliance with approved specifications (AQN Norms).
• Control key parameters such as LSF, SM, AM, free lime, and clinker mineralogy.
• Supervise laboratory testing, sampling, analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure proper operation and calibration of XRF, XRD, and other laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate with kiln, process, and production teams to optimize clinker quality.
• Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Optimize raw mix design and improve clinker consistency and performance.
• Lead laboratory staff, provide technical training, and ensure shift-wise quality control.
• Promote safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement in laboratory operations.
• Monitor quality KPIs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
• Lead raw mix and fuel mix optimization to improve quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. 
• Supervise fuel testing (coal, pet coke, AFR, etc.) and provide recommendations for process performance. 
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely release of laboratory reports. 
• Manage calibration, maintenance, and availability of laboratory equipment. 
• Lead and develop laboratory team through training and performance management. 
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BIS standards, safety requirements, and 5S practices. 
• Support audits, customer complaint investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct internal safety audits and hazard assessments to mitigate risks related to kiln dust and plant emissions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental guidelines and oversee the safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Facilitate safety training and quality awareness programs for all plant and contractual personnel.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to eliminate future safety breaches
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with corporate sustainability goals.
