Station Attendant - Casual - Various Stations

Location: Pitt Meadows/Maple Meadows/Port Haney/Coquitlam, BC, Canada

Commissionaires BC is currently recruiting for Casual On-Call Station Attendants to work with us on the West Coast Express line!

West Coast Express has stations from Waterfront to Mission. For this position its between the Pitt Meadows, Maple Meadows and Port Haney stations or Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Port Moody stations. 

This position would suit any early birds wanting to add few extra shifts to their week.

Shift times are 5am to 9am and locations will vary. The payrate will be $26.17/hr.

Note that this is a unionized position. 

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Providing superior customer service to clients and the public
• Greeting customers, and assisting them with use of the service
• Public announcements regarding train difficulties and delays
• Administering the Lost & Found
• Performing random fare validation checks, as well as passenger counts
• Monitoring stations for vandalism, maintenance, and safety concerns
• Keeping station conditions clean, presentable and safe, including trash, snow, and graffiti removal
• Maintaining equipment and inventory
• Liaising with law enforcement when necessary
• Investigating and documenting incidents promptly and accurately
• First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
• Reporting to the Site Supervisor and Operations Management for further duties as necessary

Your Must-Haves:

• Excellent communication skills 
• Ability to travel to the various sites with your own vehicle 
• Basic First Aid Certificate (OFA1)
• Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills 
• Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public 
• Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
