The Role

Youll build systems, mechanics and features experienced by millions of players worldwide while working closely with artists, designers and founders.

This pipeline is specifically for experienced Roblox Developers with strong Roblox Studio and Luau experience.

Were looking for people who can take ownership of major gameplay systems, make strong technical decisions independently and contribute across the wider Roblox development pipeline.

On a small team, your work doesnt disappear into layers of management.

What Youll Do

• Develop gameplay systems, mechanics and features using Roblox Studio and Luau

• Build scalable systems for live Roblox experiences

• Create progression, economy and player engagement features

• Implement UI, audio and visual systems where required

• Optimise performance across client and server

• Debug and improve existing systems

• Collaborate closely with artists, designers and founders

• Take ownership of features from concept through release

• Prototype and iterate quickly based on testing and player feedback

• Contribute ideas that improve gameplay, retention and the overall player experience

What Were Looking For

• Extensive commercial experience building Roblox games

• Strong Roblox Studio and Luau experience

• Proven experience shipping live Roblox experiences

• Experience working on games with significant player communities, typically tens of millions of visits or meaningful concurrent player counts

• Experience owning major gameplay systems from concept through live release

• Strong technical judgement and the ability to make architecture and gameplay decisions independently

• Deep understanding of gameplay feel, player retention, progression systems and technical game design

• Experience working on long-term live products rather than short-lived prototypes or hobby projects

• Ability to rapidly prototype, iterate and polish gameplay based on testing and feedback

• Comfortable taking ownership of complex technical problems with minimal direction

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a small, senior team

Experience with UI, audio, VFX, optimisation, tooling, LiveOps or large-scale Roblox experiences is highly valued.

Roblox has its own development environment, technical constraints, player expectations and production culture. Successful Roblox games require more than technically correct code. Features need to feel immediate, understandable and satisfying while operating reliably at scale.

The strongest developers understand both sides.

They can build robust systems, but they also understand why players engage with them.

They know when a feature technically works but still isnt good enough.

They understand iteration, retention, progression and the speed at which successful Roblox games evolve.

Were looking for people who can contribute immediately rather than learn Roblox development from scratch.

Strong Developers Take Ownership

Writing code is only part of the job.

Were looking for developers who can be given a problem rather than a specification.

You should be comfortable deciding how a system should work, identifying problems before they become blockers and pushing back when you believe theres a better solution.

That means taking responsibility for the quality of what you build from the first prototype through release and beyond.

Nobody at Cinnamon is interested in process for the sake of process.

Location and Working Arrangement

• Remote contractors based anywhere in the world
