Supervisor, Pre-Foreclosure Department

Location: United States; Remote

POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversee and monitor employees’ performance to ensure adherence to post NOI Pre-Foreclosure due-diligence, audit requirements and timelines are consistently met, and conformity to policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvement strategies. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The approved target pay range for this position is $67,400-$72,400/year.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Ensure staff accurately perform itemized foreclosure referral checklist to substantiate eligibility for first legal action. 

• Manage projects for implementing statutory changes in pre-foreclosure delinquency notifications.

• Review exception reporting specific to eligibility of files ready for First Legal.

• Prepare and review daily delinquency reports.

• Develop relationships and partner with internal departments to identify ways to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness across the departments.

• Supervise the daily work flow of staff and ensure that corporate standards are consistently followed.

• Effectively coordinate with breach & foreclosure validation teams to ensure adherence to deadlines. 

• Perform other duties and work on special projects as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Thorough knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

• Excellent understanding of loss mitigation, payment history and pre-foreclosure process

• Familiarity with mortgage software, e.g., FiServ, GNMA-EVARS

• Intermediate MS Office skills 

• Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on short-term basis

• Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit

• Ability to reconcile reinstatement amounts, and check results for accuracy

• Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management and report escalated issues

• Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or conduct routine oral communication

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

• Some additional college coursework preferred.

• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience as a Collections and/or Pre-Foreclosure Supervisor and Mortgage Servicing experience.
