Description

We are hiring on behalf of our client a Tester / QA.

The mid-level Tester / QA will join a dynamic team and ensure the quality and reliability of the companys software. The role involves planning and executing manual and automated testing, identifying and tracking defects, and working closely with developers and stakeholders to support high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

Test Planning & Documentation

• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
  
• Define testing strategies based on requirements.
  
• Prepare test data and maintain QA documentation.
  
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to identify potential risks.
  

Manual Testing

• Create and execute manual test cases for new features and modules.
  
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
  
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects and edge cases.
  
• Log, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
  

Automation Testing

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
  
• Create frontend tests using Selenium and backend/API tests using the Request library.
  
• Maintain automated smoke and regression test suites.
  
• Analyze automation results and investigate failures.
  
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
  

 Performance & Load Testing

• Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter or similar tools.
  
• Identify performance issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  
• Communicate defects, testing progress, risks, and release readiness clearly.
  

Quality & Risk Management

• Follow and continuously improve QA processes and best practices.
  
• Maintain accurate test and defect documentation.
  
• Identify testing and release risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software testing / QA, preferably in an Agile environment.
  
• Strong experience in manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  
• Hands-on experience with test automation using Python, Selenium, and Pytest. Experience designing and maintaining maintainable automated smoke and regression test suites.
  
• Experience with REST API testing using Python Requests or similar tools, including validating HTTP responses, JSON payloads, authentication, and error handling.
  
• Experience CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
  
• Good understanding of QA methodologies and software development processes.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
