This role offers early-career professionals the opportunity to build regional talent acquisition experience in one of the world’s most dynamic industries. You will work across Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, and Singapore, partnering with local TA teams, hiring managers, universities, professors, labs, and student communities to connect emerging engineering and technology talent with meaningful opportunities at ASM. This role will partner closely with the US/EU Early Careers recruiting team and recruitment marketing on annual program, planning, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

University & Academic Partnerships

  • Build and execute ASM’s university recruiting plan across Asia with clear focus on practical outcomes and hiring impact.
  • Develop trusted relationships with universities, professors, labs, career centers, and student groups.
  • Build targeted engagement plans for key STEM disciplines including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, and Computer Science.
  • Create and maintain relationships with PhD advisors, researchers, post-doctoral communities, and university leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic collaboration including guest lectures, technical talks, capstone projects, research partnerships, scholarships, competitions, and sponsorships.

Early Career Strategy

  • Translate business hiring needs into a practical early-career roadmap that can be executed across Asia.
  • Lead internship, co-op, new college graduate (NCG), and graduate hiring programs across Asia.
  • Create fresh and authentic ways to engage students and young professionals, including campus events, social content, employee stories, technical talks, and talent communities.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify future capability needs and build sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Drive intern-to-full-time conversion strategies and talent community engagement.

Talent Attraction Activation

  • Activate university-focused talent attraction plans across Asia in alignment with global TA Center of Excellence guidance and MarCom standards.
  • Localize campus messaging for engineering and STEM audiences, using approved employer brand frameworks and content from the appropriate internal owners.
  • Represent ASM at university career fairs, industry conferences, technical symposiums, student events, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications, TA Center of Excellence, and local TA teams to increase ASM’s visibility within target university and early-career talent communities.
  • Source candidate-relevant stories, campus insights, and recruiting needs from the market, then coordinate with MarCom or COE owners for final messaging, creative assets, and broader employer brand campaigns.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering, Communications, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on full-cycle recruiting experience for professional level roles and new college graduates.
  • Experience with high volume recruiting.
  • Experience with university recruiting, early career hiring, internships, and/or graduate talent programs.
  • Strong network-building capabilities across universities, research institutes, professors, and emerging talent communities.
  • Knowledge of the Asia talent market, particularly STEM and engineering talent pipelines.
  • Stakeholder management and project execution skills with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
  • Adaptable, self-driven, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced regional environment.
  • Business-level English required; Mandarin Chinese strongly preferred. Japanese and/or Korean are a plus.
  • Semiconductor, engineering, advanced manufacturing, or technology industry experience preferred.
