Marketing Program Manager
Department: Business Operations
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Remote / Hybrid / Onsite, Portugal, Portugal, Hybrid
We call ourselves Algos — and we hold ourselves to a clear standard: professional, respectful and honest in every interaction, with real accountability for the quality of our work. We look out for each other, and if somethings off, we dont let it slide — the same instinct this role needs when it comes to surfacing scope creep or risk early rather than absorbing it quietly.
Were also built around the idea of the evolved worker: every role is layered with AI enablement over time, not to replace judgment, but so people spend less time on repetitive work and more time on what actually needs a human. Delivery and innovation carry equal weight here — as our founder puts it, its not just about innovation, the delivery side matters just as much.
We hire and promote on merit, and we invest in growing our own. Internal mobility is a real part of how this team scales, and new Algos are paired with those who came before them from day one, not left to find their footing alone.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to bring together content, platform and email delivery within Googles regional marketing communications program into one coherent, consistently run operation. This is an internal-facing role: it doesnt own a client relationship, but it is accountable for making sure the teams different fronts work as one, that quality and reporting are consistent, and that the team has the coaching and capacity support it needs to keep scaling. Its a strong fit for someone who enjoys connecting the dots across a team more than owning a single function — someone who wants to build the operating rhythm a growing team runs on, not just follow one.
Scope and Deliverables
Cross-Functional Program Leadership
- Act as the single point of integration connecting content, platform ops and email development, ensuring specialist teams operate as one coordinated workflow rather than in parallel.
- Own day-to-day consistency across delivery fronts; receive regular status reporting from the team and escalate only exceptions to Delivery Lead.
- Coordinate the handoff between specialist functions (e.g. content and production) so cross-functional work happens as a partnership, not in isolation.
Content & Channel Consistency
- Maintain narrative and visual consistency across communications channels, reviewing live output directly.
- Support and help coordinate recurring content strategy conversations, bringing a cross-channel perspective into planning.
- Manage light administrative coordination with external vendors or freelance support (e.g. translators) once a request has already been scoped.
Team Operations & Capacity
- Manage workload and capacity balancing across supporting creative and production resources.
- Extend and standardize tracking and reporting tools across the team for shared visibility.
People Development
- Coach team members as they grow more senior, helping them scope and negotiate priorities rather than defaulting to yes on every request.
- Build a working understanding of where the team spends time and effort, using that insight to guide coaching and process improvements that increase efficiency.
Process & Risk Management
- Flag scope creep or emerging risk early, before ad hoc requests become unplanned, unscoped ongoing work.
- Support standardized reporting using existing dashboards and tools, rather than introducing new reporting overhead.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in program/project management, account management, or operations delivery, ideally in a marketing, content, or digital production environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams (content, design, development).
- Comfortable working across Google Workspace tools in a fast-moving, ticket-driven environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with sound judgment on when to escalate versus resolve.
- People management experience, with the ability to coach and support a small team.
