Tax Technology supports Akamais operations, ensuring accurate tax compliance. The team handles US sales tax, global indirect taxes, e-invoicing, and tax engines. Transitioning to Oracle Cloud Fusion and advancing AI automation, the group improves compliance, reduces risk, drives market expansion, and creates capacity for strategic tax efforts.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst Tax Technology, you will serve as the primary contact for tax technology needs. Manage tax requirements from inception to implementation and partner across teams to deliver compliant, goal-driven solutions. Analyze, design, and enhance systems and processes to meet organizational objectives while ensuring efficiency and effective outcomes.

As a Business Systems Analyst Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with Tax, Controllership, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create designs, and oversee implementation from start to finish.
• Designing tax structures for Oracle Cloud Fusioncalculation processes, OneSource integration, e-invoicing interfacescovering test scenarios, SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare.
• Monitoring upcoming country e-invoicing and tax reporting requirements, outlining necessary changes, and ensuring timely implementation before each statutory deadline.
• Owning tax reporting and analytics requirements, designing dashboards, and validating tax data across Oracle, OneSource, and e-invoicing platforms
• Identifying and driving AI and automation opportunities in tax processes while serving as the primary contact for technology requirements.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Possess 6 to 9 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Bring 5+ years of experience in BSA or functional consulting roles focused on tax technology or finance systems.
• Gain experience with OneSource or similar tax engines like Vertex or Avalara, including determination processes and integration behavior.
• Demonstrate Oracle expertiseE-Business Suite or Cloud Fusionwith knowledge of tax setup and its flow through AP and AR.
• Implement an e-invoicing mandate end-to-end using Pagero, Basware, or a comparable platform.
• Demonstrate expertise in US sales and use tax, with practical indirect tax experience (VAT or GST) across multiple regions.
• Demonstrate expertise in e-invoicing, continuous transaction control models, and distinctions between clearance and post-audit regimes.
• Demonstrate expertise in Agile software development, Oracle Cloud Fusion Tax configuration, AI-driven tax automation, and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
