How you might spend your days

• Building meaningful relationships with the teams you support, sought out as a trusted thought partner and coach on everything from team engagement and development to performance and role progression
• Coaching and consulting with managers and AbCellerites to unlock potential, accelerate growth, and help people do the best work of their careers - whether that means thinking through a big opportunity, navigating a tricky situation, or being a sounding board
• Partnering closely with the teams you support to understand whats really working and what isnt, surfacing root causes not just symptoms, and co-developing thoughtful, evidence-based solutions
• Coaching managers through performance conversations, compensation decisions, and the day-to-day judgment calls that come with leading people well
• Supporting and delivering company-wide initiatives like Perks & Pay reviews, learning journals, engagement surveys, and guideline/policy rollouts - bringing rigour and creativity to how they land
• Playing an active role in recruiting for your teams, bringing your deep knowledge of the people and work to help identify, attract, and assess candidates who will thrive at AbCellera
• Keeping our people data accurate and up to date in Bamboo - processing changes to roles, teams, and reporting structures, and ensuring the right information is always reflected across AbCellera
• Bringing the voice of your teams back to P&C: sharing patterns, observations, and honest feedback so we can continuously improve how we show up, communicate, and support AbCellerites

• Youre a natural coach - you have a gift for asking the questions that reframe, unstick, and mobilize
• Youre energized by hard problems and bring the kind of thinking that makes a meaningful difference in finding a way forward 
• You have meaningful experience working closely with people and teams - this could come from coaching, organizational development, psychology, a people-facing role in science or tech, or something else entirely thats given you genuine depth in understanding how people and organizations work. Were open to a range of experience: 5+ years for those earlier in their People Partner journey, and 8-10+ years for those whove been doing this for a while and are ready to bring that depth to a senior version of this role
• Youre someone who can engage authentically with our science and the people doing it; an undergraduate degree in biology is an asset 
• Youre organized, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities without losing attention to detail or quality
• You communicate with care and precision - tactful when it matters, direct when it counts
• Youre curious about drug development and want to understand our science and teams deeply enough to be a true strategic partner

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for the People Partner role is CAD $80,000 - $100,000 annually and the range for the Senior People Partner role is CAD $97,600 - $122,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution. 

You will have a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits. Creating medicines is the most important work we can do. 

We are a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing antibody-based medicines in the areas of endocrinology, women’s health, immunology, and oncology. We have built a platform for advancing antibody drug programs from target to clinic, and we are using it to build our internal pipeline.

Today, our pipeline includes two drug candidates in clinical development, two preclinical development candidates (DCs) in Investigational New Drug (IND)-enabling activities, and more than 20 active discovery programs across multiple modalities and indications.
