You’ll help design and implement systems and features on both externally facing (e.g. website, blog, and growth marketing tools) and custom internal (e.g. trainer dashboard and internal admin tools) tools that support Future’s day-to-day operations, all while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional, user-centered products.</p> <p>This role is an opportunity to be part of a team that prioritizes design, user experience, and technical excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to internal processes and standards, and make a meaningful impact on Future’s front-end architecture.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build responsive, intuitive, and visually stunning user interfaces for our web and trainer experiences using React and modern JavaScript tools.</li> <li>Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate designs into polished, production-ready features that align with UX best practices.</li> <li>Ensure UIs function seamlessly across devices and screen sizes, creating a consistent, high-quality user experience.</li> <li>Update and enhance the codebase to support Future’s growth, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance.</li> <li>Establish and uphold front-end engineering standards, ensuring code quality, consistency, and reliability across the team.</li> <li>Identify and address performance bottlenecks, working proactively to deliver fast, smooth user experiences.</li> <li>Partner with backend engineers and data scientists to integrate features, ship experiments, and ensure seamless functionality.</li> <li>Work closely with the design team to refine aesthetics and maintain attention to detail in every project.</li> <li>Contribute to a culture of collaboration by sharing best practices, driving quality performance, and fostering innovation.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional experience (outside of education and passion projects) developing and shipping real-world, consumer-facing web applications.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of React (especially React Server Components)</li> <li>Strong understanding of Next.js including both Pages &amp; App router</li> <li>Deep understanding of modern React (React 19) patterns and the ability to design clear boundaries between server and client components in Next.js</li> <li>Proficiency with tools and libraries such as Redux, TypeScript, and Webpack, leveraging them to create high-quality, efficient code.</li> <li>Experience with Tailwind CSS</li> <li>Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.</li> <li>Enjoy taking ownership of features from concept to deployment, ensuring they meet user needs and align with business objectives.</li> <li>Advocate for the evolution of internal processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance team productivity and alignment.</li> <li>Motivated to use your design sensibilities to balance technical feasibility with an exceptional user experience to develop high-quality customer-centric solutions.</li> <li>Experience delivering cohesive solutions through collaboration within cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers. </li> <li>A keen eye for design and aesthetics, with a passion for creating pixel-perfect implementations.</li> <li>A solid grasp of both client-side performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility considerations and server-side rendering</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, self-driven mindset. </li> <li>A desire to contribute to a fast-paced, startup environment where agility and collaboration are key.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h3><strong>Compensation, Benefits &amp; Life at Future:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Salary range: $165,000 - 180,000/ year + equity. <em>The salary range is set based on multiple considerations including business needs, market demands, talent availability, experience, and unique skills and attributes.
